14-year-old Prena was trapped in prostitution in Mumbai, and held captive by Priya, the daughter of a notorious trafficker, Bindoo Khalkoor. When Bindoo brought Prena to court during a separate case involving another survivor, Ruma, whom we had rescued, the police noticed Prena with bruises on her body and alerted Freedom Firm. With the help of the Nagpur police, we rescued Prena from the same brothel that we had rescued Ruma from, and Prena's courageous testimony in court led to a 20-year prison sentence for Bindoo.
